THE HORIZONS BASE IN SAN ROQUE

In the town of San Roque, Cádiz, in the south of Spain, at the gateway between the North of Africa and Europe, the base of Horizons Spain can be found.

Here is where we receive and train our candidates from different countries. This is a centre for support and introduction to the culture, from here contacts are made with churches and ministries for the placing of missionaries in the field.

It is a place of training, offering an intensive language course (Castilian Spanish) and the C.O.S. - Course of Orientation to Spain. The centre can accommodate up to 30 people, and under exceptional circumstances has housed more than 40!

We also receive and support various summer teams who come from a number of different countries to work in “Operation Transit”, evangelising among the Moroccans in the port of Algeciras.

Finally, this is also a centre for physical, logistical and spiritual support, not only for the missionaries but also to national ministries, primarily within this area.
